What is port 8443?

Port 8443 is a registered port used by HTTPS (alt) over TCP. Alternate HTTPS port, common for router admin pages. How to forward port 8443

  1. Give the device running HTTPS (alt) a fixed local IP (a static IP or a DHCP reservation) so its address never changes.
